Today my course that I have been working on for the past few months is now live. The course is called “SharePoint Security End-to-End“. The premise of the course is the need to make sure your SharePoint Environment is not at risk, from a Security perspective. This course will take you through the steps, the configuration, and the process of building a secure SharePoint environment.

The official description is “SharePoint has been around for quite a few years and yet still every environment that is built is different. Sometimes firewalls are used, sometimes not. Group Policy and and other rules are implemented to help try and mitigate a perceived threat. In reality, a lot of the security issues seen with SharePoint comes back to initial deployment and configuration issues. Knowing how to secure SharePoint, from the base operating systems, to the end user access is something that cannot be ignored or forgotten. In this course, SharePoint Security End to End, you’ll learn how to best protect your SharePoint environment from possible security threats. First, you’ll learn about preparing Windows Server for a secure SharePoint installation. Next, you’ll learn all about creating and applying application level policies. Finally, you’ll wrap up the course learning how to enable hybrid services and features for SharePoint. By the end of this course, you’ll feel confident in setting up a better, more secure, SharePoint environment.

To learn more about the course, the areas that it covers etc. you can watch the course teaser here:
